Biosketch:
Ms. Marlene T. Mireles is the Chief of the Station Support Branch in the Office of Acquisitions, Division of Extramural Activities. Ms. Mireles earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Catholic University of America in 1988. She joined the National Institute of General Medical Sciences in 1992 as a Secretary within the Minority Access to Research Careers Program. In 1995, Ms. Mireles joined the NIDDK Office of Acquisitions and was subsequently progressed to Purchase Agent, Contract Specialist, and Contracting Officer positions. In 2006, she served as Acting Chief of the Station Support Branch, Office of Acquisitions, NIDDK. In August, 2006, she was permanently appointed to the Chief’s position and supervises a staff of four which supports the acquisition needs of customers within the Office of Acquisitions.
