The force of blood flow inside your blood vessels. Blood pressure is written as two numbers separated by a slash and is said as "120 over 80." The top number is the systolic pressure, or the pressure when your heart beats and pushes blood into the arteries. The bottom number is the diastolic pressure, or the pressure when your heart relaxes between heartbeats.
