Responsibilities & Activities
My current responsibilities in the NIDDK Review Branch include organizing and managing the review of applications within the areas of digestive diseases and liver diseases. Specifically, I am responsible for conducting the review of applications for RC2 Team Science Research Programs, Multi-Center Clinical Study Implementation Planning Grants (U34s), Consortia Cooperative Agreements (U01s) and ancillary R01s. My duties include the planning, organizing, and managing of peer-review meetings to assess the scientific merit of grant applications, and the development and delivery of summary statements. I also participate on the role of a scientific review officer for mock study sections.
My research interests include infant nutrition, inherited metabolic disorders, mammalian development, probiotics, and host-microbiome interactions.
