Purpose

The purpose of the annual CAIRIBU meeting is to bring together the Directors and research teams of the NIDDK U54 Urology O’Brien Centers, the FORWARD P20 Centers for Interdisciplinary Research in Benign Urology, and the Multidisciplinary K12 Urologic Research (KURe) and Urological Epidemiology (UroEpi) Institutional Research Career Development Programs.

Meeting Objectives

• Sharing of research resources.
• Advancing students and early investigators in their development as future leaders in the field of benign urology.
• Interactive poster sessions during the meeting will feature the work of trainees and early-stage investigators whose abstracts are selected for presentation.

Background

These Centers and Programs are part of the CAIRIBU umbrella – Collaborating for the Advancement of Interdisciplinary Research in Benign Urology. The annual meeting allows for the exchange of scientific knowledge about advances in benign genitourinary research. It provides a platform for building interactions between CAIRIBU Centers and Programs, CAIRIBU investigators, and the broader benign urologic research community.

Government Room Rate

A limited block of sleeping rooms for meeting participants has been reserved at the Westin Milwaukee. The rate is the rate of $129 per night for single occupancy, plus tax (17.9%). The room block will be in effect at the Government rate only until Sunday, November 3, 2024, or until full, whichever comes first. Any room reservations received after this date will be accepted on a space- and rate-availability basis. Please be certain that the hotel provides you with a confirmation number for your reservation.

Reservation Dates

Book your arrival date as Tuesday, December 3, 2024, and departure as Friday, December 6, 2024. If you require alternate dates, please contact Mark Dennis of The Scientific Consulting Group, Inc. (SCG).

Check-in

When making a reservation, please provide your room and bedding preferences. The hotel will assign specific room types at check-in, based on availability. Please be advised that requests are not guaranteed. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and checkout time is 12:00 p.m.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours prior to your arrival date, or you will be charged a no-show fee for 1 night on your credit card.
